So here goes…

First Attempt

I guess for a first attempt it’s not that bad. Of course her eyes look like she’s an opium addict, her face is widening ever so slightly into another dimension, and her thumb is bigger than a monkey’s middle finger, but what the hey, it’s decent. In fact if you ignore the man hands and the hunchback, it’s a fairly accurate representation of Kira Knightly….’s sister.

On one hand drawing is fun and it gives me an excuse to hang around other people, but this just makes me wish i had done more art in college. I lack the patience to do photorealism, so everything I draw has that rough ’sketched’ look to it, which is fine as long as i work it up so I can do it fast. My desire is to one day be able to go out and accurately draw people in 5 minutes with enough detail that you can instantly recognize who they are. The idea is I’d lose myself in world travel for a few years and draw what I see, but barring a sudden lotto win, I’m going to stick with steady employment for a while.

Anyways I hope Jess and Chieze are as motivated or as lame as I am to continue doing this on a weekly/biweekly schedule. We might be able to lure Tim and Christine into it but they’re flaky and also a part of the Tautau WoW raiders… and there’s nothing wrong with that… It’s perfectly normal to waste away the best years of your life fighting imaginary warlocks in another dimension with your blizzard staff of +1 to YOU’RE WASTING YOUR LIFE PEOPLE! WAKE UP SHEEPLE! >_< dammit, I wonder if i can reactivate my rogue and transfer to their server >_< >_< >_< >_< >_< >_< dammit, i'd have to buy the burning crusade too then....

Laundry list:

  • Pay Closing Electric Bill
  • Find guitar teacher, kick ass for not calling back
  • Find personal trainer, kick ass for not calling back
  • Finish phase one of work already!
  • Ask for friday off
